Employers are under NO obligation to provide shelter for you to smoke - indeed they are entitled to ensure you don't even smoke on their premises outside our otherwise - so you could see yourself ending up on the street thereby completely off their land. In this day and age, employers are constantly being bombarded with literature from healthcare trusts to encourage them to keep smoke-free environments and therefore promote healthy living amongst their workforce. Its sounds a bit like 'policing' but thats about the size of it. Sorry.
Hi Chelsea
Your employer is under no obligation. I found this very inconvenient, having to stand outside the building, sometimes in the freezing rain. However through Hypnotherapy I gave it up. Never thought it would work as I have been smoking for 45 years, but it did, I haven't touched one for nearly three months now. I can breathe again, and afford to save for my holidays. Why not try it. Best of Luck.
