First Class Post

I posted a card as above on Wednesday - it would have been around half-four. It is a special card to a person but the person has told me she hasn't received it. Would that be late to you. Ta

Rather depends when the box is emptied, a few near me are only emptied at 9.30 ish in the morning.

The extra weight of Christmas traffic will also have an effect.

Not round here but it may be different in N Ireland. Here the last collection now is often well before 4:30. The box usually says when the next collection is (little brass plate).
And first class can take 2 days at this time of year

jj I only received today a card that was posted first class to me last Wednesday (9th) and I have yet to receive a parcel from my friend in Scotland posted first class last Saturday - hope this helps.

Not really at this time of year especially. 2-3 days I think is normal for 1st Class. I am, as alwa
ys impressed with our Post Office service. I sent a letter with a cheque enclosed to a friend. Iasked him to e-mail receipt of it because of the cheque. It arrived with him 2nd class in 2 days. That was earlier this week.

oh thanks all - it is just the friend is going away for Xmas and I so wanted her to get this before she leaves. Anyway know she will keep it for good anyway as it depicts her beloved dog - it is so lovely (hand made card) - she may want to get it framed.

I am inclined to say yes as I posted some second class cards and they arrived the next day!!!
