Old Meg she was a gypsy

And lived upon the moors

the other has various lines such as

when life seems sad and broken

dont sit down in silent sorrow

just nurse a broken heart

if anyone could tell me the rest of them and who wrote them i would be very greatful

How strange. A group of us ladies of "mature years" met for coffee yesterday and were talking about school, as you do. One of our group sat and quoted the whole of Meg Merrilies, and was surprised that she remembered it so well after 50 years.
