Yep
Are you Windows or Mac?

iOS 9 for my devices
Assuming you have set up an iCloud account with Apple:
Go to Settings/iCloud and turn on iCloud Drive, Then choose which apps and services you wish to use with iCloud. For iWork apps, Pages, Numbers and Keynote, these have to be set up as in this example Settings/Numbers/iCloud (Use iCloud ON)
Question Author
I had already done all that
I posted a query on Apple support, but several days later, no reply

I should clarify:
The issue I am having is with the new iCloud App.
It reports the amount of free space, but it should also show your files, presumably
I can create new folders, but can't put anything in them
Can I check one more thing I? You are using the iCloud app you get from going to Settings/iCloud/iCloud Drive/Show on Home Screen (switch on)?
Question Author
The issue is now "solved".
I was trying to find things that were not there for me to find, having confused iCloud Drive with iCloud Backup (I read an article by an Apple "expert" confessing that even he was confused by Apple's iCloud options, so I don't feel too bad about that.)
I can, at least, save mail attachments to the drive. However, most apps don't seem to support the "save to iCloud Drive" option.
When using Apple stuff I often feel like Houdini trying to shuffle off his straitjacket :-)
