Having found that my hard drive had been corrupted- I had to reinstall windows on my Second partition (i originally partitioned 8 gig for windows) I have to reinstall on the other bit. I know I can use Partition Magic to re-partition my hard drive but is there soft ware to see wear the corrupt part of the 8 gig 'left over' part that is now useless? If so can I use some of the 8 gig part and reclaim it or is it pretty much usuless?

You can use Microsoft's scandisk or Norton's Diskdoctor but if it were me I would replace the faulty drive as soon as possible.
