I Need A Decent Gravy.......not Bisto Or Tesco Junk

i have tried different gravy from tesco, bisto, colemans but it just does not taste like a kind of gravy you would get in a resturaunt.

can anyone stear me in the right direction please. i need also some iseas for a gravy or sauce to go with pork shoulder with stuffing and gammon steaks with pinapple and honey parsnips, potatoes etc.

Another idea is to place carrots,onions,celery under the joint you are roasting. When done,set the joint aside to rest for 10 minutes. Place the veg and any juices from the roasting tin into a blender. Whizz until liquidised. Transfer back to a saucepan,season to taste,add some meat or veg stock or wine for the consistency you want and heat gently.
And a tip for the future ...after roasting, make a batch of gravy and freeze for another occasion ....great not to have to make it when you're busy dishing up !
