Antibiotic Resistance

Having studied this a lot during my University days, I'm a little concerned that antibiotic resistance has come around so quickly.

Interested to know how people feel about this, considering it's potential severity, I'm surprised it hasn't taken more precedence in the news.

Antibiotic support is a natural case/phenomenon. When an antibiotic is used, bacteria that can resist that antibiotic have a greater chance of struggle than those that are "susceptible/ready."

Am I correct in thinking that antibiotics 'attack' all bacteria it can find- including the 'good bacteria' already in our system, thereby weakening our immunity to all else?
