I have just received a Now TV Box, connecting it up seems pretty easy but how does one create an account?
Does one have to provide a user name and password?
I also have a 2 month pass to Sky Movies, does this activate from the moment one signs up or can one choose to use this pass at any time, and thus starting off the free 2 months?
When it is all set up and working can one revert back to BBC, ITV and Freeview in the usual way?
I will be most obliged to you if you could help me out please.
Yes I know that thanks, but that does not answer the question if I do not want to start off my free 2 months straight away but wish to use it later in the year.
Or my question once set up can I switch back and forward to the regular freeview channels etc, or is there a separate connection I have to make?
Hopefully, you have should still have an aerial cable plugged into the back of the TV? If so, you can still get back to Freeview using the 'Source' button on your tv remote.
I've changed my answer (and reported it) on your other thread because my first answer was total rubbish.
It's quite some time since I created my Now TV account but I think that you can probably enter the basic details now and the voucher code at a later date.
Think of your Now TV box as akin to a DVD player. i.e. it doesn't change the reception of broadcast TV (from Freeview) in any way whatsoever. It just gives you an additional way of getting pictures and sound to your screen. (To watch Freeview programmes you'll have your TV's 'source' option set to 'TV', 'DTV', 'Aerial' or whatever else your set calls it. To view the output from your Now TV box you'll have it set to 'HDMI', 'HDMI1' or whatever).
AOG....being a subscriber to NOWTV will not prevent you from watching any other channel including BBC, ITV and Freeview. There is no connection whatsoever between NOWTV and anything else.
