We are currently in discussions with our local council regarding the collection of bins. Now in line with health and safety regulations householders have to move their own bins to a central location to reduce the risk to employees of sustaining injuries from manual handling. Is this nation wide and what other services can you see the public becoming involved in

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.Around here ( which shall be nameless) there are plans going through for a new estate ( I beg its pardon - "development" ) in which the access to the houses is going to be so narrow that the bin lorry can't get through anyway. Houseowners are going to have to push bins for over 100 yds in some cases.
To be replaced by householders running the risk of injuries from moving bins to a central location ? Should sue the scum in charge. Who the heck is paying the piper ? Who are these morons who dictate to their employers ? Why does society put up with it ? Why are they not all sacked and replaced by someone who's IQ managed to crawl out of the single digit zone ?
