While out getting soaked and the paper I noticed in the paper shop a book written by a fellow I know .As with all books written by an non author shall we say ,he mentioned that he had been sorta forced in to it by a friend so he went ahead and wrote it .I will not say anything about it but if someone sorta egged you on to write a book would you .Aye I know maybe a million years ago some one said Billy you have a way with words why don't you write just on book and look what happened .Well would you ?

If I wrote my life story it would read like fiction.

I have thought about it but there have been so many bizarre events in my life that it would all seem too far fetched to be true

I've sometimes thought about it, but I don't think my life would interest anyone else. As for fiction, I couldn't be doing with all the research necessary to write a convincing story.

I wanted to be a writer when I was young, and would still love to be one, but I always got terrible grades for my essays at school and uni, so a book would not be any good.

Not necessarily, CloverJo. Many popular books are written in an 'easy to read' form that hasn't stuck to the rules of English.

A rollicking good tale in a regional narrative can be more enjoyable than the same tale written in 'good' literature style.

The only book by someone I know is

The Electrification of. Lyme Regis by Martin Roundell Greene

and is great ! if you are interested in the beginnings of electricity in Lyme butyou should give it a miss if you arent. See him on teevee in the JOhn Sargeant tour of England where he er speaks on Lyme Regis compellingly
