Today I had a letter from one of my pension companies.
It was telling me about my increase from January 1st.
They were giving me an increase of wait for it

Minus 0.1%

What on earth can I do with such an increase.
I am tempted to write and complain about the insult.

If it's minus 0.1% then it's a decrease
?!
Not deflation linked is it ?

They actually referred to it as an increase.
I will check my pay slip later this month!
They probably always do, but a minus is a minus.
Or you could consider it a positive decrease.

Minus, increase ???
Did the letter say

Increase of 0.1%

or

Increase of minus 0.1%

?

Definitely said -0.1% Mamya.
The letter started out we are pleased to inform you of the annual increase in your pension.
It then went on to do various calculations and eventually came up with the minus offer.
I'd query it then especially if it is a 'minus' sign and not a hyphen , ridiculous.
