Heating Controls On Ford C-Max

I had my heating controls fixed on my C-Max a few months ago - apparently it was a new cable that needed to be fitted. Now, with perfect timing for the cold weather, the controls are not working again. Is this a common fault with the C-Max? Is it something I could fix myself?

Any helpful comments gratefully received,

Kind regards,

In what way are the controls 'not working'? Is it simply a lack of heat or something more complex? (If it's just no heat, have you checked the coolant level?)

Thanks Buenchico.
I think it's the cable that has come adrift - there is no resistance when I turn the heater knob. Coolant level is fine.

Hi Zacs-Master,
that was very helpful. I have just registered.

Many thanks,
