Will Angela Merkel Survive?
16 Answers
I heard a few weeks ago that if Angela Merkel loses the 2017 election, or indeed steps down before then, she will be looking for another top job. Apparently she has her eye on another top job in the UN. What really worries me is, in view of what has been happening in Germany, a far right group will take over. Shades of the 1930s

Why, when she's been the driving force behind allowing the invasion of a continent by persons unknown, would she ever be considered for a position with any power, in any organisation , ever? If you take a moment to think about it she's the enemy within.

On the other hand they may get a Govenment that sees the folly of mass immigration.
It's not the Krauts at the moment to worry about id the fundamentalist Islamists.
Targeting Jews
Executing Homosexuals
The liberal left want to enter into dialogue with them
History repeating itself I wonder. I have in my hand a piece of paper, oops there goes Poland. Just change Poland for Europe.

There is one English Nobel Laureate ( not Higgs ) who used to boast that before he got the prize his onw claim to fame was a framed letter from said Angela Merkel askinghim to present at a nuclear radio-chemistry conference in Germany
apparently she had a career as a nuclear chemist

You are right to be worried Linda, the Germans have form in allowing extremists to rise. When the people despair at a generation of right on liberals giving their nation away to murderous evil extremists, look out anything can happen and what happens there can happen all over Europe. Europe is in the "Chamberlain" phase at the moment, let's not appease Islam eh.

Douglas, we know people get rewarded for failure. Look at all the failed politicians in the EU commissioners or stuffed in the House of Lords! These people are untouchable. In this case it's 'jobs for the boys' or girls in this case,

It's strange that failed or exhaused or ejected politicians seem to graduate to positions in supra-national institutions (e.g.the UN and particularly the EU). It make one wonder why they are so keen to see the continuation of these institutions even though they (like the politicians) seem to be beyond their sell-by date.
If the far-right rears it head in Germany it will be entirely the fault of the German government and particularly Frau Merkel. She has presided over an absolutely reckless policy of allowing an invasion of young Muslim males who have already shown what such a toxic influence their "culture" (if that's what it can be called) has upon the well being of the German people. You reap what you sow.

Though it is true that sentiment among the German people is turning against this woman because of her disastrous judgment, I don't see any reason to fear, as is being suggested, a far-right takeover, for the simple reason that there is no elected member of the Berlin Bundestag that could even begin to lead such a movement, and the german constitution, which was set up in 1949 after WWII, specifically makes it impossible for a re-run of the 1930's.
