In the murder mystery genre Blood and Honey by Graham Hurley is partly set in the IOW.

There is also The Fallen by Robert Rennick and I'm sure Nevil Shute wrote about the Island. Oh And the sequel to day of the Triffids called Night of the Triffids by Simon Clark.
