Xperia Z3 - Micro Sim Problem.
7 Answers
Hello.
Are there any owners of a Sony Xperia Z3 smartphone who have experienced a similar problem to the one that I am having?
The device, which is brand new, will not accept a Micro Sim card instead flashing the message - "SD card damaged. Try reformatting ".Are there any solutions to this problem? I would like to solve the problem myself rather than having to return the handset to the retailer.

If you need a card reader device to carry out the reformat using a PC, there are plenty of cheap SD reader units on ebay, for example:

It appears that the Xperia Z3 takes a nano SIM rather than a micro, this may explain the problem http:// www.son ymobile .com/gl obal-en /produc ts/phon es/xper ia-z3/s pecific ations/
Specifically warned against in the user guide http:// support .sonymo bile.co m/globa l-en/xp eriaz3/ usergui de/Asse mbly/ :-)
Thank you all for your replies. I am quite certain that both cards have been inserted in their correct positions. An SD card is also known as a Micro - Sim, it's main function being to provide extra storage space. Anyway, I gather, having browsed some users websites that this is quite a common problem with the Z3 model for which Sony has yet to offer a satisfactory explanation or solution.
"An SD card is also known as a Micro - Sim" are they?
