Sending email from a website on a free ASP host - can it be done?

I have a website which is hosted for free by brinkster.com. It's written in ASP, and as part of the functionality I'd like (actually I need!) to be able to email people with various data driven outputs. Can anyone tell me either a) how to do this using brinkster, or b) the name of another ASP host similar to brinkster that would enable me to send emails from my website? Here's hoping!
