For me it was going outside for my last ciggy of the evening, a glass of red and hearing nothing and watching a cloudy sky. Just before I came in I heard the owl a hooting :o)
I love the quiet of the countryside gness..well apart from being on goose central and having a hedge full of chattering sparrows ...I have a little shrew that visits me most days in the outbuilding and a robin that comes in for some meal worms...so can't grumble :o)
As much as the quiet, Mazie....I love the dark of the countryside.....our house in the back of beyond in Ireland is silent and not a light to be seen at night...bliss indeed.....as will my 80th be with Melv's gift....♥
Sitting in the Study, TV Channel hopping, AB on tickover and looking out across The Estuary with a nearly full moon,
oh yeh, and a glass or two of a decent Red.
Had a lovely moon earlier, Baldric...before the fog came.....in fact the last two evenings have seen beautiful sunsets here.....don't ask for much really do we.....☺
Love Sunsets, when we move, within 4 weeks hopefully, we'll still be between Whitstable and Hernia Bay on a little bit of the Coast facing directly West, so we should get the best (Whitstable) sunsets going from the lounge and kitchen diner.
You get some cracking birds, Melv......I got more when I lived in the centre of a town than here on the edge of the countryside.....maybe they have lots more food now.....
Looking over the fields from halfway up a hill gives me lovely sunsets, Baldric.....and with a glass of red as you say......bliss.....x
