I really don’t understand why, because some people are less fortunate than others, those more fortunate should forfeit what they have (what they and their ancestors work hard to build). Sorry ummm, I misunderstood.

I don't blame you for not walking round the areas I described. I wouldn't do it myself unless absolutely necessary (which thankully it isn't any more). But I still drive through these areas from time to time and you have to witness it or you would not believe it (which you seem not to). Thankfully there are still a good few places where the situation is somewhat more pleasant. Where I live is among them but if I had not been to the places I described I would not believe my description either!
