Oh quincyg, where were you last tuesday when I asked the same question? It took me ages to find out. I had to email the TV company in the end for the info. I have since been on to relevant sites to find out about her. She is a lovely singer!

Thanks for the information. Funnily enough I was listened to CD by Irma Thomas and though it could have been her. Think that's the first i've heard of Carla Thomas,certainly a lovely voice

I hadn't heard of her before either but have found out that she was from Memphis and was very big in her style of music 60's & 70's. She was called the Memphis Queen of Soul. Her father was a famous soul singer too. Rufus Thomas , and they recorded together.I shall be looking out for some of her music. Amazon have her cds, some are a little expensive as they are imported.

Found all this and more out because Quincyg didnt happen to see my question last week and I had to search myself!
