I'm curious to know why everyone is asking about the Norfolk Hoe. Has it featured in the press/radio? I'm interested because I market similar tools from www.get-digging.co.uk and am also based in Norfolk. I've never heard of a Norfolk Hoe as such but I'm wondering if there is a connection here or whether it's just coincidence. Regards SimonD

A description of a Norfolk Hoe was required as an answer to a Times Xmas quiz. This was almost impossible to find. However, it is that there is a Stalham Hoe (this Googles!) and Stalham is in Norfolk. A Stalham Hoe is sometimes known as a Norfolk Hoe and is a single blade with a swan-neck shank.
The question what does a Norfolk hoe look like was in The Daily Telegraphs New Year Quiz Saturday paper 27/12/03
Telegraph it is. A blade and four prongs, which you refer to HeadGardener lower down this page, it is not.
Honestly, i really thought we has seen the end of the Norfolk Hoe... will it ever go away...? Ha Ha Ha
