Sounds good to me, killing two birds with one stone, I just had to pay for three items on a prescription £8.20 each, perhaps when the scots leave and their government starts charging them they will realise how lucky they are.

Dave.
Definite out vote winner. France and Scotland will make a lovely pair. And that wall may come in useful again.
Probably, but who said that the Scots had to be granted another referendum?
The 'Union' is not then viable surely?
The link says'if the UK votes to leave but Scotland votes to stay'
So does that mean the referendum will be announced by areas or regions?
I was assuming it was nation wide 'In or Out' only.
After a lot of shouting they would probably go back to constant grumbling, Togo. I don't think they were 100% keen on the original Union, if I remember rightly (I am quite open to correction) even though it was their King James acceding to the English throne and it must have seemed as if they had conquered England. As I say, I am quite open to correction on this period, on which I am a bit hazy and influenced by Scottish relatives.
Eddie is right, it is a vote from the whole UK. Suppose Somerset voted 'out' 100% - do they get a referendum?
Their 'rulers' have never told them the truth jourdain. It just results in the romantics blaming the English though.
There's nothing really stopping Somerset from having a referendum if they wanted one, its not illegal to hold one
Sounds like a Win-Win to me.

It's strange that the Scots are eager to remain in the absolutely non-democratic EU but are eager (so we're led to believe) to quit the reasonably democratic UK. I know they moan that their needs and requirements are not usually met by a UK government (a feature that could, of course be applied to any area where the majority of the population votes for a party other than the one forming the government). But this is precisely what happens to the UK in the EU. I have posted a number of times the figures demonstrating that the UK is constantly outvoted in the EU Parliament - for all that institution is worth. So what makes the Scots think their interests will be better served by the EU (if and when they are eventually allowed to join as an independent nation)?

Anyway, I'm not all that fussed. As I said a Win-Win situation as far as I'm concerned.
NJ maybe most No supporters want to stay in the Eu and most yes supporters want to leave
Well all I can say is thank goodness it's not up to you lot. How more anti-British can you lot get than by wanting to tear Britain apart?
Is "Brexit" the new buzz word? Who makes this crap up.?
Wanting to tear it apart? 5 million leaving about 60 million is more like clipping the corner off
The U.K. Will still exist
,"" tear Britain apart"" oh please. :-)
It is ironic jim, isn't it.
'British values' again?

My bet is that what Tony Blair said about the EU in Jan 2016 will have zero impact when the time comes, but despite what some of the above think, it is not a scenario to be taken lightly
