"Without no explaination", doesn't look right. I haven't used PayPal for some time. Is this an attempt at a scam?

I nearly fell for one purporting to come from the Dartford Crossing people though, as I have got an account set up there (so that my toll fees are automatically taken from my bank account). I was just about to open the attachment when I remembered that the email address I've got registered for the Crossing wasn't the one that the email had been sent to!

Unless you are expecting it and/or it is clearly addressed to you by name (and not just your email address) it's best to assume it's a scam. You can hover over the sender's email address and it may show it up as something totally unrelated but even if it looks like the right address it could have been a spoofed address ( and you'd need to look at the headers to get more info)
