Cant Connect To Internet

we changed broadband providers this week my husbands lap top and my phone connect to the internet fine , but my laptop an 8 year old HP with vista wont it connects to router but not the internet have done all the normal things the help pages say but nothing works would a USB network dongal do it

click on your internet icon it task bar "troubleshoot problems" let it do its job see what it says, have you tried a cable connection or just wi-fi

yes done all that, it will connect with a cable

Change the router details on your laptop. You may have to enter a new authorisation code.

If you can connect with an Ethernet cable, but not wirelessly, then resetting the TCP/IP stack on your laptop will almost certainly fix the problem. (Don't worry; it's far easier than it sounds!)
