How To Find Friends Army Regiment
My friend who passed away was in the Army for many years and i have been trying to find out what regiment he would have been in.
I don't have much to go on just name, DOB and i know he was in service protecting the Queen when she was in Kenya Treetops 1952.
Can anyone give me any help which websites are best.

Ancestry.co.uk have military records. Another site is forces-war-records.co.uk. Both charge a subscription fee but often have free trials. I don't know if they can provide details of service as recent as 1952 but worth a try. You can apply for records via https:/ /www.go v.uk/ge t-copy- militar y-servi ce-reco rds/ove rview.
