Smokescreens and mirrors..they are still like an insidious cancer that will slowly but surely carry on with their plans to take over in the uk if given the slightest chance...weedling their way into positions of power at all levels and out breeding us...

> estimated 1,750 mosques in the UK

With many more awaiting planning consent and the Saudi's finance...
///@agchristie....not all Muslims are terrorists then? Of course they friggin well aren't, I just wish AB would try + embrace that idea sometimes ///

No, baths, but the vast majority* of terrorists are Muslim.

*Despite Sp's previous, laughable, assertion that 98% of terrorist incidents are committed by non-muslims.
The Mosque just down the road from me is purportedly not only the largest capacity in the UK but the whole of Western Europe. I would never find my shoes again.
What puzzles me is the competition amongst mosques. The Regents Park was meant to be the largest at one time and then it was beaten by a mosque in West London. Acton I think. Now the Morden mosque is the daddy of them all. One was turned down for planning permission which was four times bigger than St Pauls.
Why do these mosques have to proliferate and get bigger? There must be a simple answer!!!

Priceless retro! :)
^The stockpiles are getting bigger, retro. ;-)

Thanks for that clue and there was me thinking I could do crosswords.
Simple when you see the answer isn't it :-)
Perhaps the 'silent' protesters should go there instead.
I was thinking about going but some of the answers on here have put me right off.
I think instead I'll shuffle off to a local church where I can relax as I view graphic images of torture, specifically a beardy guy nailed to a cross and left to die in agony.
Should take my mind off my worries.
Nasty cruel pices of work them Romans.Built good roads though. Put Murphy's Moles to shame these days.
//I would never find my shoes again. //

That's no joke. On one occasion in Cairo I had to pay to get mine back!

The fame of Manolo Blahnik has extended even to the ivory minarets of Cairo?
> I had to pay to get mine back!

Naomi, unbelievable! I hope you made them feel the heel ;)
ag, well, him being much bigger than me, and me being familiar with conditions inside ‘Cairo General Hospital’, I paid up without a fuss – wuss that I am. ;o)
Naomi, what happened to David v Goliath? :)
Haha! In those circumstances the most sensible thing David could sling was his hook! :o)
LOL - I'd have done what you did!
Wise girl. :o)
