My email account on my tablet has done something with my emails more than 30 days old. How can I retrieve them. And what does sync settings mean. Any answers in simple terms please.

What was the "something" it said it did ? Was it "deleted" ? Or "archived" ?

They have just vanished. The Inbox has emails "Last 7 days " and "Last 30 days". The ones before that, some of them Starred, have gone. Is it because they are more than 30 days old. If so how do I retrieve them. Thanks for trying to help.

Having to guess but, your Galaxy has to be set up to access your e-mail account on the internet. Can you visit your e-mail provider's website and log into your e-mail account from there ? If so you can see whether you still have the older e-mails or not. It's possible the app on your Galaxy no longer shows older e-mails; but only checking on the site will tell you if they are still there.

What e-mail account provider do you have ? Do you access the account from anywhere else, such as a desktop ?
