Here we have the emblem of the Deutches Bundeswehr. It is not a Nazi swastika and was/is displayed on current German Leopard battle tanks. Not dissimilar to the mock up on the link.

In the past the carnival parade has mocked Frau Merkel (it had an image of her sat on the lavatory) the communist regime, (before the wall came down)
and other sensitive political issues without undue approbation. Mock the immigration policy and you are in trouble. Anyway didn't we do dummy tanks, to fool Hitler, first. Soooo....it's our fault.

The German press and TV are extremely bland and timid. There is nothing like Private Eye or Charlie Hebdo, there is one TV programme on a Friday night which is a bit satirical but it is mostly comic.
Carnival is one place where the public can and do make fun of politics and it can be quite biting, long may it last, but the Green/Liberal PC brigade is now trying to act as a moral police force for the nation.
