Personally I am a Kenwood fan and currently have a Chef Titanium. Until about 6 years ago I was regularly using an old 70s model. I have a few other Kenwood appliances and in my experience they have been very reliable.
have always found Kenwood reliable but have no experience of the other
The Kenwood Kmix came a close second to a Bosch MUM57830GB as the Best Buy stand mixer in their tests.

Kitchenaid didnt make a best buy recommendation.
Sorry didn't say it was WHICH magazine reviews
i actually have the Bosch and would not get any other
Ours is a Kenwood, at a least 500 years old now and still going strong!
ratter now I know you are not quite 500 years of age yet !!! lol
murraymints, I didnt say I got it from new now did I!
indeed !! hope you are both well and the hounds of course xx
Kitchenaid by far and away the best. There is a reason most TV chefs and cooks use it.
The TV chefs probably get paid for using the Kitchenaid, romaz.
I have a Kenwood Chefette in the back of a cupboard. Wanna buy it?
Is it new or secondhand, tilly :-)
Kenwood everytime, dad still uses his one that he bought in 76!
I have a Kitchenaid and absolutely love it.
It's was new to me, Melv. Pre-loved, now, I think.
I am a big fan of Kenwood, and would go for the bigger/more muscly Kenwood Chef or the titanium version (am going to treat myself to one of these when I retire in 18 months time). However, given the choice of either KA or Kmix, I'd go for the kitchenaid. Did you know that the Kitchenaids are extremely heavy. My friend was treated to one for Christmas and she showed it to me a couple of weeks back. I had never actually seen one "in the flesh" before and was shocked at how heavy it is. It's definitely one for keeping on the kitchen work top (I could hardly push it backwards and forwards, let alone lift it off a shelf every time I wanted to use it! The Kenwood chef is heavy, but nothing on the scale of the KA. Was so surprised!
