We both have our own PC's and our own desks. We both hate the Lap Top. if we need to use it in an emergency (if a PC dies) then we plug in a normal keyboard and a large monitor.
Apart from their convenience of being small and transportable, I don't see any other benefit.

2 desktop pcs (1 self built), 2 mini pcs (both self built), 2 laptops (1 bought from ebay with smashed screen...now repaired and upgraded with and ssd). I like my computers! ha ha
9 years on Packard bell desktop which I use first thing in the morning . Then it's my iPad in the last 2 years for rest of the day .can sit in comfort on iPad lol and of course quicker sometimes .
