Well an E# is an F, but that's how it's written in the music which is the confusing part

I don't know of that scale. F is sharpened first usually.

In a key such as C# major, E# is used to denote an F natural. This is just to separate it from the F which is sharpened to F# on the stave (key signature.)

But ......... you wouldn't have a scale with both an E# and an F natural in it. They're the same notes.
