My Mouse Is Not Quite Right

After my granddaughter spent all afternoon on my pc, I now find the mouse sluggish and you really have to bang the left button when cursor is placed anywhere. The red mouse light is on, mouse is not wireless and plugged into correct socket.

Any ideas as to what the problem is?

Do I need to buy a new mouse?

Yes, I'd buy a new mouse. (£2.50 in Wilkinson's).

You may as well ( new mouse ), Sharon. They aren't very expensive.

She is only 7, and most times after she has been on my pc I have to do a virus check!!! She gets everywhere on my pc!!!

May need a clean. If you do unscrew it be careful you check which bit goes where.
