You used to be able to buy and sell Embassy coupons in local secondhand shops.
I remember my grandparents saving up the Embassy coupons. My grandad would bring out their catalogue every so often to see if anyone wanted anything. He got some quite good things from it, I think.
The last ready made cigarettes I smoked were "Peter Stuyvesant"

I wanted to give up smoking so decided to roll my own "Golden Virginia" I thought all the fuss of rolling and then they keep going out, will soon make me give up.

Big mistake, best cigarettes I ever smoked, never touched another ready made cigarette since. I was then addicted to the rolling action as I was to the cigarettes.
I even missed carrying my tobacco tine when I eventually gave up my 50 a day habit.

I went cold turkey 10 years ago and never looked back.
not quite Sandy lol..but I can see Arthur's seat from here !!
We had this going around in the 2nd ww era

Forty tons of camel *** steaming in the sun
Twenty thousand camels keenly looking on
Little did they realise that soon this steaming mass
Would be packed in twenties & labelled, Kensitas.
I could only afford Woodbines when I first started smoking, went through a fad of saving coupons for gifts with Stirling cigarettes, Piccadilly,B&H then Lambert and Butler. I remember once buying some coloured paper Sobriani cigs to impress. Gave up - cold turkey 7 years ago, still have a full cigarette case of Lambert and Butler somewhere.
