Should Disney Portray Reality?

A study from Duke University in North Carolina finds that Disney films misrepresent the misery of working class life by portraying it as free of difficulties. I wonder what the researchers expect to gain from their findings? If the kill joys removed the magic in favour of stark realism there would be an awful lot of disappointed kids out there – both old and young. Hands off Disney I say!

I don't know why, but I can't help but feel that a lot of the people here in response to this would sort of have to stifle tears while screaming "Leave Disney alone!"
