I recently received an email which contained an image that I could not see because in my view menu it states that it is in the HMTL view mode, so I clicked and removed that, but now I can't get my messages back to view in the HMTL mode.

In the view menu there isn't anything I can click on to revert back to the norm. in the view menu 'Message in HTML ALT+Shift+H' isn't highlighted, I have tried pressing those 3 items on my keyboard but it has had no effect.

Can anyone help me please?

Not sure if this will work for you but try 'Tools/Options/Read' and UNCHECK the box "Read all messages in plain text" under the heading "Reading Messages".
