When taking out car insurance is Legal Cover really necessary.Legal cover is defined as.....If you are ever unfortunate to be involved in a motor accident that isn't your fault,a legal expenses policy would assist you in recovering certain uninsured losses.
So my question is what could uninsured losses be.

After a car accident, that was not your fault, it is any expenses not covered by your motor policy. This can be compensation for personal injury, the excess on your policy, cost of car hire, taxis, public transport, phone calls, damage to your clothes etc

And not just for you, your passengers will be covered, too.
When I was involved in a fatal accident that was not my fault, it covered the cost of 21 days car hire, my insurance excess (£800), all the legal costs of claiming against the deceased's insurance company, many medical examinations, physio and counselling for two people. After 5 years of legal wrangling we both settled out of court for the compensation.
