Further to my previous posting, I have now planned a route that emcompasses 5 countries - France, Spain, Portugal, Italy and Switzerland. I would like any ideas on recommended hotels, preferably if you have experienced them. I would prefer 3 star/mid-range hotels, rather than 4 star luxury or basic hostels.
