Hi

I have an elderly relative who is registered blind he is recovering in hospital from a small stroke and i was trying to arrange care in his house

does anyone know if he qualifies for the full care package and how much this would cost or because of his blindness does he get free

if your relatives needs fall within local authority (council) bands for needs, he can have a financial assessment to see what his contribution will be. If his needs are lower, he's on his own

go via GP and social services...the hospital will not normally discharge without a care plan in place so they might also help with provision or at least arranging to get the ball rolling
