Do you feel guilty when you go home sick?
7 Answers
I'm feeling so poorly today. I have been since Friday and although I went home from work on Friday afternoon, I really want to today. You know when you just need to sleep, but I feel sooooo guilty for taking time off sick. I always think people will think I'm skiving. Does anyone else feel that?

You'll not be doing anyone any favours staying at work as you're not functioning to your best ability and more likely to make mistakes, you will be passing your germs onto your colleagues therefore you should feel obliged to go home. Everyone always feels guilty for the wrong reasons....but no-one will thank you at the end of the day. Get home, get to bed, or see your Dr and don't go back until you feel 100% xx
Today is the first day off I've had for well over a year - my back's been bad for weeks but I've slugged it out because I KNOW that people don't believe it when I'm not well. I think that we only feel guilty because other people make us feel guilty, whch is completely wrong. I agree with the others - your health should come first. Hope you feel better soon, take care. x.
