Windows 10 Problem

Advice please with Windows 10. I have received an e-mail with 4 photos. These have come up thumbnail size when I open the e-mail. How can I enlarge them individually so that I can take paper prints, I do not wish to transfer them to my photos file. All advice appreciated.

If you double-click a photo does it open up with the Windows Photo viewer to show an enlarged view?

click .... top left
Choose print. That works for me.

That uses windows photos which should be embedded with w10, a little logo is in b&w and looks like a little 2 peak mountain range. It is with the outlook programme that is part of the original download.

f.a.o.pinkyboyid. Thank you for your swift response. When I double left click I am then asked "do you want to open this file". I click on "open" and then get the message "this app can't open, check the windows store for more info about photos". When I click on windows store I then get the message "this application cannot be started. Try re-installing the application to fix the problem". That's the point when I am out of my depth.

If you open the windows logo bottom left or press the windows key (4 little panes) and select all apps. When you scroll down the list is the little mountain logo listed as photos?

If you RIGHT-Click the Photo and select 'Properties' does a window open up in which it indicates 'Type of File:' . If so, what does it display as 'Type of file' ?

If it is there open it and allow usage.
If not. Go into settings after clicking the windows logo
In the box type trou.... and select Troubleshooting.
Click Hardware and Sound.
Scroll down to Windows Store apps.& click
Select Next to run troubleshooter.

Why do you wish to refrain from placing the photographs into your 'photos file'; from which you could easily do all sorts of adjustments to them. ??

So do you have a programme for opening and looking at photos ?

What is the file extension for the files you are trying to open ?

Try saving it to your hard drive, looking for it using Explorer, and then trying to open it from there. See what it does. It may give a clue as to what is going wrong.
