I am really pleased with my cholestrol blood test result. I am on simvastian 40mg and I dont have a great diet but my cholestrol was only 4.1 which means my arteries will be nice and clear i think it is a wonder drug i think everyone should be on it.

Bath's.....that was a risk I was prepared to take just to be well......to be ill and foggy every day and to be passing out at the most inopportune times was no way to live.....HRT gave me a nice life.....☺
You sound like MrG, Jom.......he broke the world record for leaving a bed and getting into a shower.....then spent weeks inspecting his boobs for growth....not to mention eyeing up, in M&S, the bras he might need....☺

I think they've changed their minds yet again about HRT and it's OK to take it for years and years.
First they insisted I have it to prevent osteoporosis (I have no family history of this) then they said I had to come off it for fear of breast cancer or worse. Then I saw a wonderful lady menopause specialist who said she was 'quite relaxed' about my being on it or off it.
I'm actually off it as I prefer not to medicate myself unnecessarily and by the time I saw the lovely lady the worst was over, but I do wish they would not make such worryingly sweeping statements about any drugs...everyone should be on them ,everyone should be off them...everyone is different.

Hi, Woof....it was just the opposite for me......If I hadn't had HRT I would have killed someone......who and what for I don't know.....probably just for standing too near in a queue.....I was unbearable.....
A few weeks after starting and life was lovely again.....
It ended, not paused it for me, Baths.....gradually tailed off the patches with no problem at all.......fekkin' bliss it was.....;-).....xx

Lordy...I feel lucky I had a pretty uneventful menopause. Just was the B***h from hell...I was a tad moody;-)
As for statins, from what I've read, they do women more harm than good. They are not a wonder drug, and very few actually *need* them. Studies have shown that blood cholesterol can be reduced on a low carb diet.
