No conclusive evidence that green tea has anything to do with the action of thyroxine.

Bottom line.......if your thyroid tests are within normal limits when on thyroxine..........who cares?

Thanks for reply reason I ask is I'm dieting and although I have lost a stone it's been very slow going, which made me wonder if it was messing up my medication.
Well done fruitsalad ! That's a lot of weight. I bet it feels great.
Fruitsalad, I also take Thyroxine. I take mine in the morning and my first two drinks of the day are just hot water. I read somewhere that tea, green or black, can inhibit the absorption. I don't have a cup of proper tea until I've been up and about for a couple of hours.

Hot water's quite pleasant, actually.

Thank you Samuraisan yes it certainly does, quite pleased with myself, and Tilly think I will have to try that, see how I get on with the hot water.
