Has anyone heard this song Teenage Life? In my opinion it is absolutely dreadful, sounds like something sang on Sesame Kids, only with a load of nasally sounding kids with fake cockney accents (Dick VanDyke sounded more realistic!)

If this is the best we can come up with as a nation, I think it's time we pulled out of this farcical contest. When you think we have produced The Beatles, Stones, Robbie Williams, Elton John, David Bowie, Charlotte Church and dozens upon dozens of huge super selling artists, one would think we could come up with something far superior to this rubbish.

Still, it's only my opinion

Mine too.

I heard it on the 'song for europe' type show when it won. I listened to the first two lines, then switched off and went and made a cuppa.

I haven't listened to it since and have no intention of doing so if I can help it.
i like it but its not good enough for europe! If they play it more im sure alot of people here will catch onto it (its one of those hate it AND love it songs that get stuck in ure head!) here in the UK. Its a good song and i like it but they should have more pro's at eurovision who are experienced.
if the British entry were to win, the BBC would be saddled with the expense and inconvenience of staging the next show. so they are never going to actively pursue the fielding of a well-known or experienced artist, are they?
Oh dear god yes! Its appalling!!!

I fully agree that the BBC is trying to avoid winning this year, there can be no other explanation. Father Ted's "My Lovely Horse" episode springs to mind. It's life imitating art, isn't it?

We've got to lose that saxaphone solo!!

Well, I'm going to stick my head above the parapet here and say that I think it's excellent. And I'll happily bet anyone who's interested that it will land us in the Top 3 at Eurovision in Athens on May 20th. Just you see...

no no robertson, i think its good to. Though probably not as "excellent" as you say. I certainly dont think it will be near the bottom, "Gemini" springs to my mind! Im abit on the fence here, i dont think it will be in top three but by no means in the bottom 5 either.

Thank u for telling me the date of eurovision though!

In normal circumstances I'd bet my house that Teenage Life will win Eurovision. However, it's the UKs song and there's still a lot of anti-British feeling among the rest of Europe. Besides which the voting system is a calamity anyhow.
Spot on Robertson - Its a class song, and should do well as it has been well pushed by Daz himself all over the media - However,I would like to bet that its Greece 1st place,Sweden 2nd,and Daz 3rd - If I got that bet up,knowing how they vote in Eurovision,I think I would happily retire on the proceeds !!
