For Eastenders to KO Corrie at the soap awards? I am occasionally subjected to the sad b******* by my girlfriend, and can't believe people actually go with it more than Corrie.

Anybody got an explanation?

Yep, know what you mean! Eastenders is full of really horrible characters and dreary decor....Corrie also has a couple I agree and the decor's not to brill either..but at least it can be quite funny! Strangely though, here at work several of the girls seem to think that Phil & Grant are great...find that slightly worrying that two of the most obnoxious, bad temepered, sexist and ugly guys on telly are thought to be *great* :o/

Agree with you both Enders is Cr*p. However, apparently it was their turn to win and because the viewing figures have greatly reduced over the last year it was deemed a good idea to give it a boost. I love Corrie but Emmerdale is fast becoming a serious contender for best soap.

I agree too. Eastenders has never done anything for me. I think Corrie was robbed of awards in more categories than I care to mention, but best storyline being Mike Baldwins Alzheimers and also him in best exit, to name two, it seemed so unfair.
