I open the car door and step out. Everytime I touch the door to close it, I get a TING of static shock. Different shoes, different parking surfaces. What can I do to prevent it?

Stop wearing nylon knickers ?
Mikey!
Drive in your marigolds
Delboy's suggestion of an earthing strip worked on our old car. Current car has leather seats (much prefer velour) and no problem with static.
// Stop wearing nylon knickers ? // Drive without.
Driving without knickers will give you a wonderful sense of au naturelle, beware however when exiting your vehicle. Always swing both legs out rather than one at a time.
