Just been reading this horrific story in the paper about what they are doing to these poor animals and saw that they are trying to get enough signatures for it to be brought up in parliament , they are still short of the amount needed , please sign of you want to, just wanted everyone to know, no pressure thank-you

They have foolishly tied canine consumption (which is the Koreans' own business) with the cruelty prior to/during slaughter. I don't think this petition has a hope in Hell of having an effect.

I have no problem with them eating dogs, this is their culture!

I have reluctantly signed, purely on the grounds of the way they treat dogs being sold as food.

I agree with O.G. they have not got a hope in hell of stopping them eating dogs. A big mistake in lumping the two issues together!

Thank God I don't feel the same as you OG, I abhor torture and cruelty to any creatrue be it human or animal and if we all just say 'it's their business' whenever such cruelty occurs and DO NOTHING, then we are NOT human! I too have my doubts about the petititon working, but at least I will try to help in any way I can and do my best. Seeing the picture of that skinned ALIVE dog in the cooking pot will haunt me for a very long time.

I do sympathise with your feelings whurules, but OG was merely pointing out that eating dogs and the cruelty that foregoes their slaughter are two different issues.

If we were to respect other society's cultures than we would not be eating cows, pigs etc. eventhough they are mostly slaughtered in a humane way so we are just as bad(?)
