Is it not time we took female upon male violence seriously?
I ask this because it is regularly shown on TV and films, where men are expected to take slaps and other aggressive violence from females with either cries of "he deserved that" or outbursts of laughter.

If 40% of victims are male, even if some of that 40% are gay men, some of the 60% will be female on female attacks...rendering the 40% consistent across M/M M/F and F/F relationships.

Yes I agree it seems improbable, sp. Especially so when you consider that the number of deaths resulting from DV (about which there is firm evidence) is about 4:1 F:M.
Both these articles seem to support the 40% figure but unless you accept that women are twice as likely than men to be killed as a result of DV there is considerable inconsistency.

/// AOG. I do watch Tv and haven’t seen this regularly shown which is why I asked the question....if you can’t give examples maybe its because you haven’t seen it either? ///
You cannot expect me to supply you with details of a particular film or TV episode along with dates etc.
But providing that you have happened to watch any of the TV soaps as well as in some films, even with rose tinted specs firmly in place, you couldn't have possibly missed witnessing a great number of face slapping, pushing and groin kicking that some of the female characters carry out on their male counterparts.

I never watch soaps....can’t say I have seen it in the films I watch.....and yes, if someone states stuff like " it is regularly shown on TV and films, where men are expected to take slaps and other aggressive violence from females with either cries of "he deserved that" or outbursts of laughter.” Then i expect the poster to be able to substantiate the allegation.
