Swedish Town: Women Are Warned Not To Go Out Alone At Night....
.....after multiple sex attacks by ‘foreigners’.
Shades of Cologne when the mayor there advised women to adopt a 'Code of Conduct' in order to protect themselves from attack. Are any of the powers that be actually addressing the source of the problem or are they, in effect, turning a blind eye to a difficult-to-deal-with issue?

“You mean the current Government, who have let in record numbers.”
Very true. But what also needs to be mentioned is that only half of these record numbers were actually “let in” (as in “invited”) because they were wanted here for one reason or another. The other half simply arrived (from other EU countries) and whether they were wanted here or not was not a consideration. They were not “let in” because neither this government nor indeed any other has any say in the matter. And the only solution to that lies in Brexit.

Anyone remember the 'Yorkshire Ripper'? (Sutcliffe) Well, I lived in a house across the road from the wood where he changed out of his bloody clothes etc. (Stoney Ridge, Heaton, Bradford)
25 yards, I assure you.
I remember very well not being able to go out on my own and the strict rules I imposed on my daughters. I would like to add that our males were wonderful, e.g. checking we got into our cars safely and ringing to make sure we had made it home safely. Well done, chaps:)x
I don't want to live like that again

After all without the use of the technology we have today, we managed back in 1940 to stop the might of Nazi Germany from coming here.
//
You are forgetting one or two important details there, AOG.
i) A war against them was declared, making various acts of resistance legal.
ii) We were allowed to shoot at them.
iii) We had full mobilisation of 18-?? age band.
You have to admit that an unarmed invasion is a stroke of genius, albeit a dubious kind.
If the left are quiet it is because the migration is fuelling support for the right wing and that means they are in line for being treated as outsiders, or quislings, if things get really dire.
Before using the argument "they're good for the economy", we should have quantified what numbers would achieve this. The strain on infrastructure (see my sewage treatment works thread), health service and education was never given proper consideration.
The young age profile means it will be pulic spending on childhood diseases and trying to keep class sizes under control. Or more "look after themselves" faith schools.

Yep, listening. Justified fears, much covered on the news, at the time. How long did it take them to work out that he was only targeting prostitutes?

//crime went up during the war and not down//
True but non-sequitor. The point I was making was about repelling (threat of) invasion, not domestic crime.

Diffuse, inchoate, arcane and incoherent. Even tottering on the edge of reason. All of these normal reactions to a Peter post are a failure of understanding on our part, Hypo. Peter (the other side of the worm hole) exists in an alternative universe in which not only the laws of physics, but the laws of logic are quite different from ours.
