Changing My Car - Tax And Dvla

I'm getting rid of my old car next week and picking up the new one on the same day.

I currently pay car tax monthly by Direct Debit.

Had a quick google on this but still not sure, think I need to fill out a V70?

Do it so they dont keep chasing you for payments

tax the new car with the V5C/2 and the old one will be cancelled automatically when the main V5 is sent off.
