Anyone Had A Hot A Air Balloon Ride?

I would love to go for a hot air balloon ride, has anyone been one?

I think I would really enjoy the flying bit but I worry about the landing bit. I'm

I have seen it on the TV where the basket really thumps to the ground, , I have very fragile bones due to my Cancer so worry about damaging myself, what do you think?

Yes I was first up in Luxor after the 'flamer ' and went up with the Mayor of Luxor and a few other notables - so I er didnt enjoy it much
but it was good and saw the sun rise over the temples etc

I have had the good fortune to have been on a number of balloon rides, both with large groups and just with the pilot. Only once out of all of these trips was it a rough landing and tipped over but we were prepared for this so no drama there. If in doubt speak to your doctor and with who ever you chose to fly with for their advice. If you go I hope you really enjoy it. It's an amazing experience.

Plenty of 'hot air balloon rides' in the News section on AB millie. Have that balloon ride if as you say, you would love it.

I know I sound like a total ingrate but I felt it was a bit disappointing, like standing at a window watching the world go gently by with little sensation of movement. That was over the Valley of the Kings, one balloon almost wound up in Libya, he misjudged the thermals, we were back for a late breakfast, they apparently missed dinner!
