Although this wasn't the hardest of crosswords, I've still been left with a couple of queries. The preamble says there is one unclued light of two words, but I have two. I always have another theme answer which appears once in the singular and once in the plural. That seems less than satisfactory.

I know this post won't make sense to anyone without the puzzle - sorry!

I assume you are referring to 28a & 34d as the two word answers?

The plural answer has a different meaning according to Brewers. Still seems a bit unsatisfactory though.

Thanks for the added info, djawhufc . The different meanings casts another light on it, but I think it looked worse as the answers are so close to each other!

I think the 'one two word answer' in the preamble is simply an error.

Just a small observation, but I couldn't discover JACK anywhere in the grid ?
